Who We Are
Animal Damage Control provides quality and reliable service in all areas of wildlife consulting, control and management to industry, governments, institutions, business and private individuals throughout Western Canada.
We specialize in conflict resolution and prevention, whether in urban, rural, industrial or backcountry contexts. We also provide expertise in a wide range of unique services including asset protection, professional training, animal research fieldwork, wildlife risk assessment and monitoring, and integrated management planning.
Founded by a Leading Expert
Bill Abercrombie
President & Founder
Bill Abercrombie is the founder of Animal Damage Control, vice president of the Alberta Trappers Association, and a long-serving board and executive member of the Alberta Conservation Association. He has over 25 years of full-time experience as a wildlife consultant and problem wildlife officer, and has studied and worked with virtually every wildlife species, conflict situation and environment in Western Canada, from the Arctic and alpine to the boreal and great plains.
As a hunter, trapper and conservationist for life, he brings a unique philosophy and skill set to the field of wildlife research, management, and conflict resolution. He trains wildlife and wilderness professionals from across North America and Europe and works with many corporations, governments, universities and organizations alike to promote the sustainable and peaceful coexistence of wildlife and humans across Alberta and beyond.
Our Team
Animal Damage Control is an integrated team including some of Alberta's top trappers, field technicians, biologists and animal care specialists, with hundreds of years of combined wildlife field experience.
